Hit or Miss: Kangol Bag @ Topshop

The first of Kangol's collaboration with Topshop is this leather handbag, costing £70. I'm a bit undecided on this one. I'm not sure whether or not I like the brown leather, or the shape. Maybe it's just because I don't really go for this style of handbag but what do you think? Hit or Miss?

Accessories Watch: Bakerboy Hats

Celebrities such as Sienna Miller and Jessica Alba have been seen in them, and I think bakerboy hats are going to be appearing again this season.


This Jersey Captain Hat is £10 from ASOS. It is similar to the one Sienna Miller is wearing (above). I love the bow on the side of the hat.

There is a wide range of bakerboy hats at Accessorize. This is a tweed one, with a cute rose brooch on the side. It is a little more expensive, costing £18.



The Bow Wool Bakerboy Hat is £15 from Topshop. I wish they had a better picture of it because you can't see the bow on the side.

Style Inspiration: Rachel Bilson

Known for her role as Summer Roberts in The OC, Rachel Bilson is also recognised for her amazing fashion sense. Whether on the red carpet, shopping with friends, or hanging out with Adam Brody; she always looks fanatstic. I love the way she makes the most simple outfits look great. Her style has been described as 'quirky' and 'fun' and she is not afraid to mix vintage with modern items.

I found about fashion156.com on Style Bubble...and I was so impressed. Fashion 156 is a new fashion webzine that comes out every 156 hours, which is 6.5 days. It is extremely professional, with amazing fashion shoots and articles . Each new issue brings a new theme, with 'Colour' being the theme of the first. Go and check it out!

My Wishlist: Polo Tops

I love polo tops. They're so versatile and preppy. I want one in pink, aqua blue and lavender. Don't think I have enough money though...

Kangol at Topshop

Markus Lupfer has produced a collection for Kangol at Topshop. I learned today (via Times Online) that Kangol still makes berets for the British army. The pictures are not on the Topshop website yet but the first fifteen pieces arrive in store this month.

How to Lose a Stone...in 10 days

Beyoncé Knowles, known for her curvy figure, has been hitting the headlines for weight loss. She recently revealed how she used the 'Maple Syrup Diet' to lose weight for a film. The diet consists of mixing maple syrup with water, lemon juice and cayenne pepper and drinking the mixture instead of eating meals for up to two weeks. Madal Bal Natural Tree Syrup is the syrup used in the diet and is made from sap of maple and palm trees. There has been a huge rise in sales of this product even though it costs a wopping £39.99. But nutritionists say that the diet does not provide essential nutrients and the diet is usually used as a detox.

Karen Walker has launched a lovely new range of jewellery. This 'Runaway Girl' necklace costs £69. I also love her 'Bow Pendant'.

The Patricia Field Bag

I can't wait to see the film 'The Devil Wears Prada', which is out in the UK in October. The bag above is featured in the film and was designed by the Sex and the City's stylist, Patricia Field, who was also the stylist of the film. Costing £50, with £22 going to Breakthrough Breast Cancer, it is already sold out. But ASOS say that due to popular demand, they have managed to secure a small number of bags that are to go on sale soon.

My Wishlist: Topshop Checked Full Circle Skirt

I love this skirt. It's so cute and preppy. Plaid /checks / tartan is a big trend this season which is another plus point. Definitely on my wishlist.

Talking Point: Binge Shopping?

Elle Magazine has started a Slow Shopping campaign to try and stop 'sugar-rush shopping'. The article included shopping scenarios such as: buying shoes that don't fit just because they are on sale; buying the same top twice without realising; having bags at the bottom of their wardrobe with clothes they don't like or don't fit into, with the tags still on and not bothering to return them. They believe that it is down to fact that clothes are now so much cheaper due to shops like Primark and H&M. Elle's message us to not rush out around the high-street like contestants on Supermarket Sweep but to take the time to find something not everyone else is wearing.

Key Trend: Sweater Dress

The sweater dress is one of this season's most important pieces. Wear it with footless tights, leggings, even your skinny jeans and keep warm this Autumn/Winter.

This Scoop Neck Sweater Dress is £35 from Marks and Spencer. Grey is a key colour this season.

The Isadora Sweater Dress from FCUK is a bit on the expensive side at £65. However, I like the cut and yellow is another key colour this season.


FCUK also has the Date Dress. Another grey option, it is priced at £60.
